Tip 1. Figure out where you are going with your snack. If you will be somewhere hot you may not want to add chocolate to the mix because it could get messy.
Tip 2. Choose your nuts or nut substitute. Consider healthy almonds, peanuts, cashews or soy nuts and dried peas.
Tip 3. Choose your dried fruit. Consider raisins, craisins, banana chips, dried mango.
Tip 4. Choose your chocolate, carob or yogurt covered treat. Consider m&ms, yogurt covered raisins or carob chips.
Tip 5. Finally, preserve your trail mix in an air-tight container or ziploc bag. Enjoy!
